It’s summer here in old T.O. and the weather is unbearably hot and humid. The next few days will be a little cooler, so they say, and I hope for once the weatherman is right. I find it hard to concentrate when the heat is so oppressive, even with air conditioning, since we don’t want to run it all the time. I am beginning to sound like a crabby, old lady!!
Our seniors’ computer club has ended for the summer and the ladies are all keen to come back in the fall. I expect by then they will be fairly competent on their computers. And the best part is that they are having fun and have lost a lot of the fear of trying to learn.
My oldest daughter and her husband just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary and as a gift, my son-in-law hired a songwriter to write and record a special love song for them. It is so beautiful, I could hardly keep from crying. Does make me jealous though when I think of how my husband and I spent our last anniversary. Somehow, going out for dinner doesn’t compare.

I cant believe how much time has gone by since I last posted. When I put things off for tomorrow, the days pass before I realize it. Ive been having trouble with my laptop so my son took it apart for me. Now the backspace key doesnt work either. I didnt realize how much I use that key. Tonight the apostrophe key isnt working either. No wonder I get frustrated with computers sometimes.
The seniors’ computer club is winding down for the summer and all of the ladies are keen to come back again in the fall. One older lady who had never even touched a computer a few months ago, has now bought one and is regularly sending emails to her family.
My 80 year old mother and I decided to get together regularly to study Internet marketing. I thought we might meet for about half an hour, but we ended up talking for over two hours. It’s so much more enjoyable to brainstorm with someone else and this is helping us both focus. Now we just need to keep studying together fairly often and then putting our lessons into practice.
So I’ve decided to focus on one site at a time and get things properly done before I move on to the next. I need to work on each page of the CreativeHomeComputing site, then go on to MotivatedtoLearn.
