Customer Service From Hell

I have spent most of my day trying to get through to Symantec about a problem with my Norton Anti-virus program. It no longer works, so I would like it fixed, especially since I paid to have it updated online. Next time I will buy my anti-virus from a computer store, so I have the physical product.

First it took over half an hour for me to even find a customer support phone number on their site. My other options were to pay for a tech support call or wait two days for an email answer - neither of which I wanted to do.

When I finally reached a live person on the phone, they transferred me to tech support, where the phone rang for almost half an hour before I finally hung up.

Next call, the support person assured me there would be no more ringing when he transferred me. True to his word, this time I listened to music while I was kept on hold. Another half hour later and I finally hung up again. By this time I was getting very angry.

Third call and a lady said she would get my file up right away - I don’t know if she did or not because the phone was disconnected.

Every time I called from then on, the line was busy. At about supper time, I finally got through again and was told my having to wait was because days are quite busy, but if I call between 11 pm and 6 am, my chances of getting technical support are much better.

It is now almost midnight and I am about to call one last time. I have also written myself a note in large print reminding me NEVER to buy anything from that company again.
